#1 Immortal Romance II
If you’re wondering which is the best Immortal Romance game, then look no further. One of the most highly-anticipated game releases this year, fans of the Immortal Romance series have waited over a decade for this launch. With stunning graphics, new gameplay features and mechanics, some fans were worried that it wouldn’t feel like a genuine Immortal Romance experience, especially with a different studio making it. The original Immortal Romance Game was made by Microgaming, which was then bought by Games Global, but Immortal Romance II was developed by Stormcraft Studios. Despite this, it feels almost more authentic to the Immortal Romance world than the first game.
For those of you looking how to play Immortal Romance 2, then you’re in luck, as it’s been launched on most major online casinos. As it comes from an established studio, you shouldn’t need to look too hard to find it. Once you do, you’re in for a treat, too.
The gameplay is smooth, the graphics are crisp and atmospheric and the mechanics provide genuine fun throughout the experience. It’s the most polished product out of the Immortal Romance franchise and for that reason, it gets ranked at the very top.
#2 Immortal Romance
It all started back in 2011 when Microgaming released the original Immortal Romance. The slot game featured a perfect mixture of vampires and romance which was massive back then, especially with the Twilight series being at its peak popularity at the time. The first Immortal Romance quickly gained a cult following, with fans loving its characters, mechanics and art style. Microgaming didn’t know it at the time, but they’d just released one of the most iconic and well-loved games in the online gaming world.
It was one of the first examples of a slot game having a narrative and fully realized characters, rather than just symbols rolling across the screen. This would gain popularity with other game developers, and some of the biggest online slot games can trace their roots back to Immortal Romance.
As for the game itself, it’s a little dated by this point but it still holds up well. It’s beloved for a reason and that’s obvious for a reason, even almost 15 years after it was released.
#3 Immortal Romance Video Bingo
The Immortal Romance Video Bingo game is actually a pretty decent addition to both the genre and the Immortal Series. You can pick a character to stand beside the cards, the Lion Door Knocker is there as part of The Chamber of Jackpots mechanic, as well as several more bonus options.
Overall, the game integrates the themes and style of Immortal Romance really nicely into the video bingo genre. Rather than just using aspects from one of the most popular slot games of all time, the studio has taken the time to make the video bingo game feel good enough to play on its own. It sets a positive precedent for other spin-off games from other series.
#4 Immortal Romance Mega Moolah
After the critical and commercial success of the first Immortal Romance, it was no surprise to see Games Global acknowledge its popularity and launch a few more games. One of the first was Immortal Romance Mega Moolah, which took many of the features from the core game and accentuated them with the Mega Moolah mechanics.
However, rather than integrating the Mega Moolah section into the game, Games Global just whacked it onto the side of the screen. This means that the dark and brooding vampiric imagery of the core slot game is now side-by-side with the golden, cheerful colours of the jackpot panel. When the Jackpot Bonus is triggered it also brings up a very colourful wheel, which doesn’t feel blended with the original themes either.
That being said, the Mega Moolah jackpot is one of the most popular mechanics from Games Global, so it’s always nice to see them mix this with one of their biggest online slot game. The feature also provides the opportunity for bigger wins with its four progressive jackpot tiers.
#5 Immortal Romance Scratch
As instant games go, Immortal Romance Scratch is simple, yet effective. It features a 3×3 grid for nine images from the games. You reveal the nine pictures, whether you do it manually one at a time or press a button to unveil them all at once, and the aim of the game is to match three symbols to win. These can be the four characters or some spooky landscape images, each of them with a different multiplier.
Despite its simplicity, it works very well. It’s got the iconic Immortal Romance background, and even the cards themselves come with the series name printed on the back of it. The fact that the symbols can be the main cast of characters, as well as different atmospheric images, also builds on the whole experience.
It could’ve been more exciting with a few additional features, but scratch games are known for being very bare-bones in nature.
#6 Immortal Romance Roulette
Developed by Switch Studios, a provider under the Games Global umbrella, the Immortal Romance Roulette game was released only late in 2023. The table game includes all of the cast of characters, with Amber, Troy, Michael and Sarah all being seen on the landing screen.
The roulette experience is standard, with the numbers being set against a gothic-style background. If the ball lands on a number that one of the cast is holding, then they can apply a multiplier to any winnings associated with it.
Overall, it’s a fairly dry interpretation of the game. While it does its job and is a cute addition to the library, there’s a lot more than could’ve been done with it. Rather than the characters just applying multipliers, it could’ve been nice to have themed wheels for each character and a set mechanic for each one to further integrate the theme into the experience.
So even if some of the games came out more polished than others, it’s really nice to see the series spanning across different genres and giving it a go all the same. Who knows what else is in store for the Immortal Romance series in the future?
